Bennett Family Wines are brought to you by William Grant & Sons.  The Bennett Family is one of the early branches of the William Grant family tree.  We have named these wines in honor of our Great Aunt Jennie Bennett (1850 – 1920).  Such was her reputation as a firm head of the household that the younger members of our family thought the phrase “at the point of a bayonet” was actually “at the point of a Bennett.”  With over a century of hands-on excellence in the wine & spirits business, we hand-select grapes from the two finest appellations in California to produce uncompromising wines.

You might not know our vineyards, but Wooden Valley is home to some of Napa Valley’s best Cabernet Sauvignon producers.  The hot summer days, and cool evenings allow our grapes the extra hang time to ripen slowly.  This delicate balance transcends into a unique ripeness, found only in the world class Cabernet Sauvignon from the prestigious Napa Valley.  Our Russian River Chardonnay vineyard is located in the heart of this phenomenal growing region.  The cool coastal evenings allow the acidity levels in our Chardonnay to stand up to the rich tropical fruit in this truly perfect Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley.  Our neighbors are some of the top producers in these wonderful growing regions, they just charge you more…

You might not know our winemaker, David Cronin, but he has been making wine for some of the best producers in the Napa Valley for over two decades.  Utilizing his talents in grape selection David has posted more than his fair share of 90+ point rated wine from the Wine Spectator.  An expert in producing world-class Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, David has had his hand in the success of the Bennett Family wines since their inception.
