Lillet
Our Brands
Lillet is a unique, prestigious aperitif (meaning to open the appetite); it is enjoyed during that special time when you share a drink before lunch or dinner. The only wine-based aperitif produced in Bordeaux, France, Lillet is not too sweet and not too strong; itt whets the appetite while setting the tone for the evening.
Lillet is a blend of 85% wine and 15% citrus liqueurs. The wines are carefully selected in the Podensac area (grave regions) and the citrus liqueurs are produced by cold macerating fruit peels in pure distilled spirits for several months. Following the Bordelaise tradition, Lillet is also aged in oak so that it acquires its soft and rich character. Because it is not oxidized or aromatized with herbs like vermouths, nor artificially concentrated, Lillet is a very unique product.
Lillet Blanc is similar to sauternes. Its color is a golden, shining yellow. It’s flowery with a hint of honey with aromas of candied orange, pine resin, lime and fresh mint. Its taste is fresh, bold and fruity with an appealing aroma intensity and lingering aftertaste.
Lille Rouge is bright ruby-red in color. It has strong aromas of ripe red fruits with hints of vanilla and very fine spices. It is full-bodied, suave and velvety with a good backbone and softly rounded tannins.
